Alabaster

Al grew up as a poor boy in the outskirts of New Delhi. He was orphaned young after a thief tried to steal from his house, but got caught and murdered Al's parents in retaliation. He was unfortunately witness to the crime whilst hiding. He was found alone by neighbours after the commotion caught their attention. They noted that he seemed oddly calm, despite the trauma he'd experienced, refusing to leave his parent's side. After being taken to a hospital in the city, the doctors ending up referring him to experts that were able to determine he had a diamond brain. Since he was a child, Al was sorted out to be sent to an orphanage run by a Hindu temple in Nirvana. However, somehow the paperwork got messed up and he got sent to a different religious orphanage in Gehenna. The carers there gave him the name Alabaster, as his emotions growing up were as blank as the alabaster walls. Life was tough, but Al adapted. Over the years, he met his now best friend Faida, helping her build a home together in Purgatory These days he's free to live as the heavy metal devil he is.

Al is able to willingly change his mental state to a state of calm at any given time.

Al wields a pair of bulky black gloves that can generate energy, which can be shaped and directed. They are however somewhat unpredictable in how well they work.

Fighting Style: Al is a bit reckless but hits hard and fast. He emulates street brawlers and boxers when he fights.

Personality

When his ability isn't active, Alabaster is usually a hot-headed, impatient young man with lots of energy that he's always looking to burn. He often needs reminding to activate his ability when riled up. However, despite his irrational behaviour he can take care of himself. Having lost his parents from a young age encouraged Al to learn to be independent, and growing in Gehenna also taught him the art of self preservation.

He is extremely keen on rock music and punk culture, obsessed with tattoos, piercings and extreme body modifications, of which he always says he'll get more of in future. Al's taste for power gives him a competitive edge. A good brawl always brings the glory he craves. Al is Hindu and although he's not heavily devoted, he tries practice his religion casually, out of respect for his family.

Despite his flaming energy, Al has his low moments too. He gets jealous easily, particularly when his personal feelings have been attacked. This tends to link to his attachment issues. When Al makes a friend he'll cling hard. Although he doesn't like to appear that way outwardly, and will quickly be dismissive if questioned about it.

He also has a small part of his personality that is rarely or briefly seen. Due to the trauma he experienced as a child, Al suffers from PTSD. He will occasionally have flashbacks which last for seconds due to to his ability reflexively kicking in to calm him down. He will usually freeze of twitch when this happens. Only a few people are able to spot when this happens, as he is not very open about it.
