Cities
The story focuses heavily on the two cities that were built, and the space in between that is currently occupied by the protagonists. Both of the cities display very different cultures, types of powers, aesthetics and so forth.
However, the whole island shares a couple of cultural aspects. The first is the widespread phenomenon of people having unnatural hair and eye colours. Coloured contacts, hair dye or treatments to permanently change the colour of either are more widely available and easier to seek out.
The other thing, which is location specific to Tolentino island, is a multi purpose social media app called the Chiptune Network. Citizens across both of the cities can keep in touch easily this way.
