Gecko's life isn't one he's exactly proud of. Having come from a family with a long military history, he felt almost obliged to follow the tradition. However, swiftly upon enlisting and entering training, Gecko realised this is really not the life he wanted. He quickly took to drinking just to get through the days. Gecko found it unusual after a while that no-one seemed to notice his drunken state whilst fulfilling duties. When he expressed it to a couple friends, they joked about him just being better when drunk. Gecko took it more seriously, and privately asked to have it looked into. The doctors on base managed to source him to some specialists that determined he had a diamond ability. Though he was surprised it got sorted so quickly, he soon discovered why. Gecko was immediately transferred to a secret unit, consisting purely of diamond ability users. Things got even stricter, and the people weren't quite as friendly. Gecko started to break under the pressure. It was only a matter of time until Gecko would earn his dishonourable discharge. After being sent on one too many missions, Gecko snapped and ran. Making sure to keep a record of his Tolentino invite, he went straight for the nearest point of travel. Upon arriving he went straight for Gehenna. No more rules, and a fresh start at his fingertips, Gecko took up mercenary work for money. When he's not on the clock, he's usually hanging about the Supernova club.

Personality

Gecko carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. At least, that's how he describes it. He does have a tendency towards melodramatics in his recreations of events, though it's difficult to tell whether he's doing it for attention, or whether he's just naturally eccentric. His manner of speaking often feels very theatrical. It's especially difficult to tell as Gecko's behaviour barely changes between sobriety and drunkenness. Still, it does intrigued people, and he will often amass a small audience.​

Despite the drama though, his PTSD is something you shouldn't wave off as being overblown. On top the general nastiness of war, his time spent in the special diamond unit forced him into a series of living nightmares He's witnessed too much crime against humanity to ever return back to a normal, steady life. Since he's been trying to stay off the military's radar as well, he's not had the chance to speak to a someone who can help him.

Aside from horror stories, Gecko is generally pretty okay to hang around. He likes to try all sorts of drinks, is often up for a quick sparring session and, when he's in a really good mood, builds extravagant sandcastles on Sheol Beach.
