A troubled youth that's bounced around from one foster home to the next. Gallagher views the world as black and white, figuratively and literally due to having a rare form of colour blindness known as achromatopsia. He never knew his parents and doesn't care to. He was never one to play nice, and often got taken back to foster care for unruly behaviour, often involving himself with gangs. However, he started to cool down after meeting Tamara, the foster daughter of the next family he joined. She was the same age and also got bullied like he did for being eccentric. The two managed to get along like a pair of non-blooded twins. Overtime they figured each other might have a diamond ability, after a bit of personal testing. Gallagher was reluctantly dragged to get an official test, with both of them coming up positive. The results were relayed to the foster home, who helped them relocate to yet another foster home in Nirvana. Things have seemingly been going well for them since. Gallagher hasn't changed his perspective of the world. However, the decrease in bullying is at least keeping him civil. However, all it takes is a push for Gallagher to unleash his spite.

Personality

Gallagher is a antisocial individual. His mind is as grey and the way he sees the world, due his vision problems. He refuses to have said problem fixed with cybernetics as well, because of his absolute apathy. To him, everything is pointless. He subscribes to a nihilistic outlook on life, having been influenced by multiple factors. Between depression, abandonment and lack of colour, somewhere along the way he just stopped caring. That's not to say he doesn't still have things he enjoys, he just doesn't care to try and make the world any better.

For example, one of the things that keeps him going is his 'twin' sister Tamara. Her disdain for the world combined with a cheerful persona is oddly compelling to Gallagher. He wishes secretly he could have her energy. Thus, he's content to go along with helping her do what she wants, be it a science experiment, shopping or so on. Since he has no sense of colour, he even trusts her to pick his clothes. He also has quite a fascination with the military, indulging in anything related like films, games or classes.

At his darkest, Gallagher has a twisted sense of morality and justice. He doesn't believe that this so called perfect world without crime is stable. He believes that under everything perfect is a foundation that is begging to be cracked, so he likes to escalate the process to prove he's right. Having trained himself to be highly desensitised to violence, and to fire guns, if enabled he could be capable of some truly dangerous things. There are times where Gallagher is frightened by his own dark thoughts. However, he pushes down these 'uselessly humane' thoughts, pretending they don't exist. He seems to thrive off of believing that he's heartless, as believing anything else crumbles down the system he built in his mind. But, underneath he's just a scared boy looking for a feeling of control.
